2. Purpose of the Website

Purchases are completed through a checkout operated on our behalf by Shopify. Visitors may also join the SHŌBI list to hear when an edition opens.

The Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all online purchases. They applied from the opening of the first edition on 15 October 2026.

3. Intellectual property

The Website and its contents, including text, photography, images, designs, graphics, logos, trade marks, trade names, visual elements and code, are protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property laws.

They may not be reproduced, distributed, transformed, publicly communicated or commercially exploited without SHŌBI’s prior written permission unless expressly permitted by law.

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for personal data collected through shobi.co is:

Gloria Torné Villasevil, trading as SHŌBI
VAT/NIF: ESW39941503
General Díaz Porlier 109, 28006 Madrid, Spain

2. What we process, and when

If you join the list. The email address you give us, together with an optional indication of which edition interests you.

If you place an order. Your name, delivery and billing address, email address, telephone number where you provide one, the contents and value of your order, your preferred edition numbers where you tell us, and the record of the payment. We do not receive or store your full card number: the card details are entered directly into the payment provider’s systems, and we see only the last four digits, the card type and whether the payment succeeded.

If you contact us. Whatever you choose to put in the message, and your email address so we can reply.

If you consent to measurement or marketing cookies. Information about your visit as described in the Cookies notice below. Nothing in those categories runs unless you have accepted it, and you can withdraw at any time through the Cookies link in the footer.

Infrastructure providers used to host and protect the Website may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses and security or connection logs, where necessary to deliver, secure and maintain the Website.

3. What we use it for

To fulfil your order. Taking payment, assigning and engraving your edition number, packing and dispatching your piece, sending you confirmation and tracking, and handling returns, refunds and guarantee claims.

To meet our legal obligations. Spanish law requires us to issue and keep invoices and accounting records, and to retain them for the period the tax authorities specify.

To answer you when you write to us.

To tell you when an edition opens, if you have joined the list.

We do not use your information to advertise on behalf of unrelated third parties, and we do not sell it.

4. Legal basis

Performance of a contract. Processing your order, taking payment, delivering your piece and handling returns. Without this information we cannot sell you anything.

Legal obligation. Invoicing, accounting and tax records, and consumer-law obligations such as the right of withdrawal and the guarantee of conformity.

Consent. The list, and any measurement or marketing cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already lawfully carried out before withdrawal.

Legitimate interest. Keeping the Website and the shop secure and working, preventing fraud, and establishing or defending legal claims.

5. Unsubscribing

You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism contained in our emails, or by contacting info@shobi.co.

Once you unsubscribe, we will stop using your email address for marketing.

We may retain the minimum information necessary to record and respect your opt-out, comply with legal obligations, or establish or defend legal claims.

6. Retention

Order records. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period Spanish tax and commercial law requires, which is currently several years from the end of the relevant financial year. We cannot delete these on request, because we are obliged to hold them.

Edition numbers. We keep a permanent record of which number went to which order. An edition of two hundred numbered pieces cannot be authenticated otherwise, and it is what allows us to confirm a piece is genuine years later.

List subscriptions. Retained while your consent remains valid and you wish to hear from us.

Following withdrawal of consent, your information will be deleted or no longer used for that purpose, except for limited information that must reasonably be retained to comply with law, demonstrate the consent previously given, or ensure that your opt-out continues to be respected.

7. Service providers

SHŌBI relies on service providers necessary to operate the Website, the shop and the list:

These providers may process information only in connection with the services they provide and subject to the applicable contractual arrangements.

SHŌBI does not sell personal data.

8. International transfers

Some of our providers, including Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Netlify, Cloudflare and Meta, are established outside the European Economic Area or may process information in countries outside the EEA, including the United States.

Where personal data are transferred internationally, SHŌBI will rely on a transfer mechanism recognised under the GDPR, such as an applicable adequacy decision, European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses, or another legally recognised safeguard.

You may request further information concerning the safeguards applicable to international transfers by contacting info@shobi.co.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request:

Requests can be sent to info@shobi.co. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos — AEPD).

10. Children

SHŌBI is not directed at children, and the shop is intended for buyers who have the legal capacity to enter into a contract.

If we become aware that personal data relating to a child have been provided in circumstances that do not comply with applicable law, we will take reasonable steps to remove those data.

11. Security

SHŌBI uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and destruction.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can, however, guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes

We may amend this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The date of the latest revision appears at the beginning of this Policy.

// COOKIES

Cookies and Local Storage

Last updated: 16 September 2026

How we ask

When you first arrive, shobi.co shows a consent notice with three choices: accept everything, reject everything, or open the preferences panel and decide category by category. Rejecting is a single click, exactly like accepting. Nothing is pre-ticked, and nothing outside the strictly necessary category runs until you have chosen.

You can change or withdraw your decision at any time through the Cookies link in the footer of any page. Withdrawing reloads the page, because a technology already loaded under an earlier consent cannot be unloaded from a page that is already running.

Your decision is stored in your own browser for up to 180 days, after which we ask again.

The three categories

Strictly necessary. Browser localStorage used to remember whether you chose the Spanish or English version of the Website, and to remember your answer to this notice. Used only to provide what you have asked for; never for profiling, advertising or cross-site tracking. This category cannot be switched off and, being strictly functional, does not require your consent under Spanish law.

Measurement. Aggregated statistics on how many people visit and which pages they see. Not used to identify you.

Marketing. Reserved for advertising technologies operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook and Instagram), which would allow Meta to recognise your visit so that we can measure our advertising and show it to you again. These technologies are not currently active on shobi.co. If and when they are activated, they will load only for visitors who have accepted this category, and this notice will be updated to say so.

Checkout

From the commercial launch, the purchase process is completed on a checkout powered by Shopify, which may set its own cookies necessary to operate a shopping basket and a payment. Those are governed by Shopify's own notices at the point of checkout. This Policy will be updated before checkout is activated.

Changes to this notice

If SHŌBI introduces further cookies or similar technologies requiring consent, this notice will be updated and consent will be sought before they are activated.

Questions concerning privacy or storage technologies can be sent to info@shobi.co.
