Terms and Conditions of Sale
These Terms and Conditions govern purchases of SHŌBI products made through shobi.co and its associated checkout.
1. Seller
Your seller and contractual counterparty is:
Trading as SHŌBI
VAT/NIF: ESW39941503
General Díaz Porlier 109, 28006 Madrid, Spain
info@shobi.co
Gloria Torné Villasevil operates as a self-employed individual registered in Spain.
Shopify and payment providers involved in checkout provide technology and payment-processing services and are not the seller of SHŌBI products.
2. Scope
These Terms apply to online purchases of SHŌBI products by consumers.
By placing an order, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read and accept these Terms before completing your purchase.
The contractual version applicable to an order is the version made available when the order is placed.
3. Product
SHŌBI’s initial product is a wagasa-inspired umbrella with a carbon-fibre frame and UPF 50+ protection, initially offered in Sakura and Kuro.
The first edition consists of 200 individually numbered pieces, 50 of which are initially allocated to Kuro.
Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, individual numbers are allocated by SHŌBI when the order is prepared or dispatched and cannot be selected by the customer.
Individual numbering does not constitute personalisation of the product.
Product photography and visual representations are intended to depict the product as accurately as reasonably possible. Minor differences resulting from screens, lighting, materials or manufacturing processes may occur where they do not alter the essential characteristics of the product.
4. Availability and limited edition
Products are subject to availability. Displaying a product on the Website does not guarantee that it will remain available when an order is completed.
Because this is a limited edition, SHŌBI may cease accepting orders when a colourway or the entire edition has sold out.
If SHŌBI exceptionally cannot supply a product after accepting an order, the customer will be informed and amounts paid will be refunded in accordance with applicable law.
5. Price
The launch price is €220, inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Before checkout is completed, the customer will be shown the total price, applicable taxes, shipping charges and any other amount payable directly to SHŌBI.
6. Shipping
Spain
Standard shipping within Spain is complimentary, unless the customer expressly requests a different delivery option during checkout.
Other destinations
SHŌBI ships internationally to destinations enabled at checkout. Shipping charges for other destinations will be calculated and displayed before the order is placed.
For destinations where import duties, local taxes, customs charges or similar charges may arise, the information presented before purchase will specify, where possible, whether those amounts are included or are payable separately by the recipient.
SHŌBI will not conceal charges that it collects directly from the customer.
Dispatch and transit
The intended dispatch date for this edition is 15 October 2026. Estimated transit times following dispatch are:
| Spain | 7 days |
| European Union | 15 days |
| Rest of world | 20 days |
These transit periods are estimates unless SHŌBI expressly commits to a particular delivery date. Nothing in this provision limits mandatory consumer rights concerning delivery.
The carrier used will be identified once selected.
7. Ordering
After selecting a product, the customer will be directed to a Shopify-powered checkout.
Before submitting the order, the customer will be able to review the selected products, address, applicable charges, total price and payment information and correct input errors.
The contract may be concluded in Spanish or English. Contractual information and order confirmation will be provided electronically.
An order will only be completed when the customer activates the final checkout control clearly indicating that the order carries an obligation to pay. An electronic confirmation will be provided following receipt of the order.
8. Payment
Payments are processed using Shopify Payments and any payment methods shown at checkout.
Available payment methods may vary according to country, device or payment-provider configuration.
SHŌBI does not necessarily receive full payment-card credentials. The total amount payable will be displayed before the order is confirmed.
9. Statutory right of withdrawal — first 14 days
9.1 Independent and unconditional right
If you are a consumer, you have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase without giving a reason within 14 calendar days beginning on the day on which you, or a third party nominated by you other than the carrier, takes physical possession of the product, subject to applicable mandatory law.
This statutory right is separate from SHŌBI’s additional commercial return period described in clause 10.
The statutory 14-day right is not conditional upon the numbered seal remaining intact or upon the product remaining unopened.
9.2 How to exercise it
To exercise the right, notify SHŌBI of your decision by an unequivocal statement before the deadline at info@shobi.co.
You may use the model withdrawal form set out in Annex I below, but this is not mandatory.
9.3 Returning the product
Following notification, return the product without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law to: General Díaz Porlier 109, piso 6, 28006 Madrid, Spain.
Unless SHŌBI agrees to bear that cost or applicable law provides otherwise, you will bear the direct cost of returning goods following an ordinary exercise of the statutory right of withdrawal.
9.4 Handling and diminished value
You may handle the product to the extent reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
You may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose, as provided by applicable law.
Breaking or removing the numbered seal does not, in itself, extinguish the statutory right of withdrawal.
9.5 Refunds
Following a valid withdrawal, SHŌBI will reimburse all amounts required by applicable law, including the original standard delivery charge where legally required.
Additional delivery costs resulting from the customer’s choice of a more expensive delivery option than SHŌBI’s standard option need not be reimbursed where permitted by law.
Refunds will ordinarily be made using the same payment method, without a refund fee. SHŌBI may withhold reimbursement where and for so long as applicable law permits pending receipt of the returned product or evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.
10. Additional SHŌBI return period — days 15 to 30
In addition to your statutory rights, SHŌBI voluntarily allows a return to be requested for up to 30 calendar days following receipt.
This additional commercial benefit extends the return period but does not alter, replace or restrict the statutory right applicable during the first 14 days.
For return requests made after the statutory 14-day period has ended and no later than day 30, SHŌBI may require that:
- the product has not been used;
- the product remains in a condition suitable for resale;
- original accessories and packaging reasonably available are included; and
- the numbered seal remains intact.
These requirements apply only to the additional contractual period from day 15 through day 30. If any requirement conflicts with a mandatory consumer right, the mandatory right prevails.
Return shipping during this additional commercial period is borne by the customer unless SHŌBI expressly states otherwise.
This additional policy does not apply to defects or lack of conformity, which are governed separately by statutory rights.
11. Statutory conformity rights
Consumers have the remedies provided by applicable Spanish and European consumer legislation where goods do not conform to the contract.
For new goods covered by Spanish consumer legislation, SHŌBI is currently responsible for lack of conformity appearing within the applicable statutory period, which is three years from delivery.
Depending on the circumstances, statutory remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination of the contract. Costs necessary to bring the product into conformity are borne in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms restricts those rights.
12. SHŌBI lifetime commercial warranty
In addition to statutory rights, SHŌBI provides a lifetime commercial warranty against manufacturing defects in SHŌBI umbrellas.
The commercial warranty is an additional benefit and does not replace, restrict or reduce any statutory conformity rights or other mandatory consumer rights.
Cover
It covers defects attributable to manufacturing or materials. It does not cover damage caused by:
- accidents;
- misuse or use contrary to the reasonably intended use;
- neglect;
- normal wear;
- cosmetic deterioration resulting from ordinary use;
- modification; or
- unauthorised repair or intervention that caused or contributed to the defect claimed.
An exclusion applies only to the extent that the claimed problem is attributable to that excluded circumstance.
Duration
The commercial warranty is offered for life, without time limit, in respect of the manufacturing defects covered by this statement and in favour of the original purchaser.
Guarantor

info@shobi.co
Making a claim
To make a claim, contact info@shobi.co with a description of the issue, photographs where reasonably useful, and information allowing the purchase to be identified.
SHŌBI may reasonably ask for the item to be sent for inspection. Where the commercial warranty applies, SHŌBI will repair or replace the product as appropriate having regard to the defect and circumstances.
Any costs which SHŌBI is legally or contractually required to bear will be borne by SHŌBI. The warranty does not affect additional mandatory rights available under the law applicable to the consumer.
13. Transit risk
Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer in accordance with mandatory consumer law.
Where SHŌBI has arranged delivery through a carrier offered by SHŌBI, these Terms do not transfer risk to the consumer earlier than permitted by applicable law.
14. Customer service
Questions and complaints may be sent to info@shobi.co. SHŌBI will seek to respond within a reasonable period.
15. Personal data
Personal data relating to purchases will be processed in accordance with SHŌBI’s Privacy Policy as in force from time to time.
Before the commercial launch, that Policy will be updated to cover processing relating to orders, payments, shipping, tax obligations, customer service, warranties and the providers involved in the purchase process.
16. Intellectual property
Purchasing a SHŌBI product does not grant any licence or rights in SHŌBI’s trade marks, designs, photography, materials, trade names or other intellectual or industrial property.
17. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
In particular, these Terms do not restrict statutory consumer rights relating to lack of conformity, defective products, personal injury or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
18. Events outside reasonable control
SHŌBI will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control to the extent permitted by law.
This does not restrict mandatory consumer remedies concerning delivery, cancellation or reimbursement.
19. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and contracts entered into with SHŌBI are governed by Spanish law.
However, where the purchaser is a consumer resident in another country, this choice of Spanish law does not deprive that consumer of mandatory protections applicable to them under applicable conflict-of-laws rules.
Nothing in this clause requires a consumer to bring proceedings in a court other than a court available to that consumer under mandatory jurisdiction rules.
20. Language version
These Terms are published in Spanish and English.
In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Spanish version prevails, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights under applicable law and to the information actually provided to the consumer in the language in which the contract was concluded.
21. Severability
If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
22. Amendments
SHŌBI may amend these Terms for future purchases. Changes will not retrospectively alter the contractual terms governing an order already concluded unless required by law or otherwise lawfully agreed.
Annex I — Model withdrawal form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract. Its use is not mandatory.
